Firmin House’s specialists in export and international sales, and metalwork manufacture, Firmin & Sons has been proudly manufacturing in the UK since 1655, making it the oldest manufacturing company in the UK, and one of the oldest still extant in the world. 

From modest beginnings as button makers, we are now a designer and supplier of every form of uniform, livery or badge, and the accessories and accoutrements to go with them. From ceremonial and parade dress to modern operational gear Firmin equips the British military and those of 34 other countries for every aspect of their roles. 

We are proud to be one of the last working armourers in the United Kingdom making ceremonial armour and helmets, for clients including such prestigious bodies as the Household Cavalry and the Honourable Artillery Company. As with Kashket and Partners, we are proud of our close relations to royalty, having worked with every British monarch since Charles II (r. 1649 – 1685) and had royal warrants of appointment as royal button makers for George II (r. 1683–1760) and every successive monarch in an unbroken line to the present day. A centuries-long relationship with the royal household which remains unmatched.
